iciHaiti - Agriculture : Towards the establishment of an artificial insemination center

Thursday, May 11, 2023 José Luis Fernandez, the Representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO - Haiti) and Charlot Bredy, the Minister of Agriculture of Haiti, signed the project to set up an artificial insemination center in the Ouest department

The objective of this project is the implementation by the Ministry of Agriculture of good practices and innovations for the genetic improvement of cattle in Haiti. This project is financed by FAO's own funds.

Charlot Brédy and José Luis Fernandez also signed the project document entitled: "Support to the Government in the integrated control of palm and coconut pests in Haiti"

The objective of this project is the implementation by the Ministry of Agriculture of an action plan to control the invasion by pests: palm and coconut trees. This project will be financed by FAO's own funds.
