Thursday, March 30, 2023, several dozen heavily armed individuals from the "Kraze Barye" gang sowed terror and panic among the population in Vivy Mitchell, particularly in the Les Palmes area. The bandits attacked local residents and burned several houses and vehicles. No human toll is currently available.

Following the alert from the Intelligence and Operations Center (CRO), several specialized units of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) were quickly deployed and despite reduced resources, the police with the help of armored vehicles managed to resume control of the situation.

In addition, the heavy machinery unit of the PNH had to intervene to clear the barricades erected by the bandits to prevent the intervention of the police and restore traffic...

The National Police asks the population to keep calm and to continue to collaborate with the PNH by locating the bandits.
