Kesner Normil, the President (Mayor) of the Municipal Council of Pétion-ville, informs the entire Pétion-villoise population and all those concerned, that the carnival festivities will not take place in the commune this year.

"This decision is taken, given the current situation of the country which is experiencing dark days because of insecurity and the multidimensional crisis that is raging in Haiti.

The Town Hall of Pétion-ville would like to thank everyone, especially the walking bands who have expressed their desire to participate in these festivities, the DJs, all those who have always put their hands in the dough in view of the realization of the Carnival in the commune, as well as the police who have never failed in their mission to secure this activity."
