iciHaiti - Passports : The DIE closes its offices in Lalue and Pétion-ville but opens 3 new centers

Following the entry into force of the new conditional stay program in the USA launched by the Biden Administration https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-38566-haiti-flash-new-us-entry-program-for-haitian-migrants-conditions-and-steps-to-follow.html and for reasons of insufficient reception capacity, the Directorate of Immigration and Emigration (DIE) announces that Since January 20, 2023, it has not received passport applications at its Central office in Lalue or in Pétion-Ville.
In the momentum, the DIE announces that the persons concerned will be able to apply in three new passport application centers from:
January 23, 2023:
The center at the Gymnasium Vincent Ruelle Romain (Port-au-Prince) which will have 2,000 seats and the Center at Parc Sainte Thérèse located in the town of Pétion-ville will be operational.
January 25, 2023:
The 3rd center located in the former premises of the National Bank of Credit in the Industrial Park of the National Company of Industrial Parks (SONAPI), airport road, will be open on Wednesday, January 25.
