iciHaiti - Art : Fruitful artistic adventure for visual artist Reginald Sénatus
The plastic artist Reginald Sénatus alias "Redji" is back in the country after a fruitful and enriching artistic adventure in residences.

From August 3rd to September 26, 2022 "Redji" was in artistic residency at the Center Intermondes de la Rochelle (France).

On September 15, he traveled to Germany for the opening of his exhibition at the Gropuis Bau Museum in Berlin, which will end in January 2023.

Subsequently, the "Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts" (EMC), an art school in Kingston, Jamaica hosted him in an artistic residency from November 14 to 27, 2022.

Learn more about Reginald Sénatus :
"Redji" born in 1994, grew up in a neighborhood of downtown Port-au-Prince, near the artists and cabinetmakers of the Grand-Rue. In 2010, he joined "Atis Rezistans". Since 2011, he has participated in several editions of the "Ghetto Biennale" in Port-au-Prince and won the first prize in 2019. "Redji" began attending Le Center d'Art since 2016 and began taking courses in 2018.

"My creations reflect my generation, struggling between a historical discourse and a reality rooted in the socio-political present. I am an artist committed to the influence of my country and its culture; it is through my works that I express my sorrows, my pains, my shames, my concerns as well as my hopes. My working tools and materials are manufactured objects and recovered recycling materials. The goal is to make us meditate on the instability of the world," explained the artist.
