The Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti, congratulates Dr. Henri Ronald Ford, American-Haitian, pediatric surgeon, who was elected President of the American College of Surgeons, during the Annual General Meeting of Members.

Dr. Henri Ronald Ford is the Dean and Director of Studies at (Miami International University, Florida. Previously, he was Vice President and Chief of Pediatric Surgery at Los Angeles Hospital in California, and Associate Dean for Medical Education at a Southern California medical school Dr. Ford is a former Surgeon-in-Chief at the University of Pittsburgh Hospital in California.

During the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Dr. Ford led the mission to operate on traumatized children. In 2015, he had led a team that separated 2 conjoined twins at the hospital of the University of Mirebalais, in the Center department https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-14005-icihaiti-health-a-surgical-first-in-haiti.html , a great first in Haiti.

Born in Haiti, Dr. Ford left the country with his father when he was 13 years old. He attended the best American schools and universities. He studied medicine at the Harvard University School of Medicine in Cambridge (Massachusetts).
