iciHaiti - Demonstration: Moïse Jean-Charles asks the demonstrators to arm themselves with machetes to lead the revolution
Monday, October 17, 2022, several hundred supporters and activists, responding to the call of former Senator Moïse Jean-Charles leader of the radical opposition Political Party "Pitit Dessalin" gathered at the Champ-de-Mars before head to the airport.

Between barricades of burning tires and slogans hostile to the Government, the demonstrators called among other things for the resignation of the Prime Minister and protested against a possible foreign military deployment, a rapid intervention force designed to put an end to the control and violence of gangs in Haiti.

Moïse Jean-Charles called on demonstrators to target the residences of members of the government next week stressing "[...] I am not asking you to carry firearms. Buy machetes in order to lead the revolution..."
