iciHaiti - UN : The Security Council discusses intervention options for Haiti 14/10/2022 11:01:27
José Alfonso Blanco Condé, the Permanent Representative of the Dominican Republic to the UN (New York) announced that the National Council of the UN could present, this Monday, October 17, options on how to deal urgently with the issue of insecurity in Haiti, initially scheduled for October 21.
White Conde indicated that as the date approached, the Security Council continued to discuss options while stressing that the war in Ukraine had "distracted attention from many Security Council issues, including that on Haiti."
"We hope that next Monday we will have clear ideas on how the Council should address this issue as soon as possible," said José Alfonso Blanco Conde
