Monday, October 10, 2022, following a request for reinforcement launched by the officials of the Sub-police station of Thomassin, specialized units were quickly deployed in the Commune of Pétion-ville, in particular at the level of the district of Thomassin, the Police took over the control of the situation, following the attack on the Thomassin sub-police station by armed individuals from the "Ti makak" gang.

On Tuesday the police at Thomassin were deployed in the streets to carry out routine checks. The police searched vehicles circulating in the neighborhood and also residents.

In addition to the patrol of the Intervention Brigade which criss-crosses the Thomassin area, police officers belonging to the Temporary Anti-gang Unit are deployed on site in order to continue to guarantee the safety of the population.
