iciHaiti - Guatemala : A bus leaves the road with several Haitian migrants on board
A school bus carrying Haitians in an irregular migratory situation destined for the United States suddenly left the road from Cuilapa to Chiquimulilla (Santa Rosa), to complete its course 25 meters below in a wooded area, according to agents from the Santa Rosa police station.

Upon their arrival on the scene, the agents provided the necessary care with the volunteer firefighters for their respective medical check-ups to about ten Haitians, including 4 minors, who were slightly injured. According to the testimonies of other passengers, the number of Haitians on board was much higher, without wanting to say how much, only that they had left the bus and had fled before the arrival of help.

The police also coordinated the transfer of the migrants to the Guatemalan Migration Institute for the respective procedures.

One not known why the driver lost control of his vehicle on a perfectly asphalted road. The latter having abandoned his bus before the arrival of the police...
