iciHaiti - ONA-Polis : Distribution of a first batch of loan checks to 76 police officers
This week during a ceremony, the distribution of a first batch of checks took place to the police officers registered in the ONA-Polis program and who, being eligible, had applied for a loan.

Members and executives of the high command of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) took part in this ceremony of distribution of checks, in particular the Director General Frantz Elbé, the Inspector General Sinora Nassar, the Director of Staff of the PNH, the Divisional Commissioner Jean Maureste Etienne and the Central Director of Administration and General Services, Wency Bien-Aimé as well as executives of the National Office of Old Age Insurance (ONA) represented within the framework of this ceremony by its Director General Jemeley Marc Jean-Baptiste.

76 police officers were able to receive their checks on Tuesday after complying with the requirements to benefit from the advantages offered by the ONA-Polis program.

The Acting Commander-in-Chief of the PNH, Frantz Elbé, in his intervention welcomed the ONA-Polis program which "[...] is in line with its actions (COPROCOP and compensation for the benefit of victimized police officers) aimed at improving the quality of life of law enforcement officers who venture 24 hours a day to serve and protect their fellow citizens within the framework of the constitutional missions incumbent on them."

This program, established with the aim of providing police officers with the services and benefits of the National Old-Age Insurance Office, was concluded in October 2020 by a Memorandum of Understanding between the PNH, the Ministry of Social Affairs and of Labour, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security and the ONA.
