iciHaiti - Insecurity : The «400 Mawozo» gang would have nearly 3,000 men

Despite the repeated successes of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) against "400 Mawaozo" for several weeks where the arrests and deaths of gang members accumulate, contrary to rumors circulating suggesting that "400 Mawaozo" is about to be dismantled, Pierre Espérance, the Executive Director of the National Network for the Defense of Human Rights (RNDDH) showers the hopes of those who rejoice too quickly.
Espérance reveals that "400 Mawazo" commanded by "Lanmò San Jou", "remains powerful, It has 152 bases each with up to 30 members […] not counting the gangs affiliated with Port-au-Prince..."
He believes that to put an end to "400 Mawozo" the National Police of Haiti (PNH) will need a lot of means "Armored vehicles have been ordered by the Haitian State [...] I must say that the armored vehicles will certainly be useful, but the PNH needs a lot more equipment to make penetrations. The police also need financial resources in order to have information that will help the police to be much more effective..."
