iciHaiti - Social : 3.5 million Gdes for the education of young people with disabilities
Jean Ronald Joseph the Director General of the National Education Fund (FNE) and the Secretary of State for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities Génard Joseph signed a Memorandum of Understanding this week on support for the education of children and young people with special educational needs, as well as those living with disabilities.

Through this agreement, an amount of 3.5 million Gourdes is allocated to the Office of the Secretary of State, in particular to support specialized organizations in the educational field in charge of children with special needs and/or young people with disabilities.

Secretary of State Génard Joseph is delighted that this amount will help to effectively meet the educational needs of families with children with disabilities and promises to do everything possible to ensure that the operational phase begins as soon as possible.

The Director General of the FNE took the opportunity to renew the commitment of the FNE in the promotion and strengthening of inclusive education in Haiti, while recalling that it falls within the legal framework of the institution to support families with children with disabilities or reduced mobility.
