The attack launched Friday, July 8, 2022 by the men of the G9 gang coalition led by Chief Jimmy Chérisier alias "Barbecue" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-37121-haiti-news-zapping.html against the men of "G-Pép", a new coalition led by "Ti Gabriel" which opposes the power of the G9 caused at least 20 deaths and 50 injuries in 3 days, several of them seriously according to Joël Janéus, the interim executive agent of Cité Soleil, this assessment remains provisional, the situation not allowing an exhaustive assessment to be made, specifying "[...] majority of the dead are among the belligerents."

Joël Janéus summarized "The inhabitants of Bois-9, Cité Lumière, Cité Gérard, the Linthau project, Wharf and Brooklyn stressing that the situation is much more serious for the population of Brooklyn, Soleil 17 and Wharf, strongholds of the men of 'Ti-Gabriel'."
