iciHaiti - International Airport : More than 130,000 US dollars seized, a Haitian arrested

On Saturday July 9, 2022, agents from the Office for the Fight against Narcotics Trafficking (BLTS) of the Central Directorate of Judicial Police (DCPJ) arrested a 39-year-old Haitian, Isaac Junior Salvant, who was on board JetBlue flight 2902 to New York transiting through Fort Lauderdale.

This passenger was carrying an undeclared sum of 132,236 US dollars, in violation of the law which obliges a passenger, within the framework of the fight against money laundering, to make a declaration if he is traveling with a sum of money greater than at $10,000.

The Isaac Junior Salvant file was handed over to the Bureau of Financial and Economic Affairs (BAFE) of the DCPJ for the continuation of the procedure and the 132,236 US dollars were seized.
