On June 30, the town hall of Cap-Haitien wished to honor Doctor Yvens Laborde, founder of the Doctor Yvens Laborde Foundation for Health and Humanitarian Aid in Haiti (FONDYLSAHH)

A plaque of honor ceremony was organized at the Town hall lounge, in the presence of doctors from the Justinien University Hospital and in particular Dr. Ernst Robert Jasmin, North Departmental Director of the Ministry of Public Health.

Yvrose Pierre, the Mayor of Cap-Haitien recalled the role of Dr. Laborde as a doctor working in New Orleans (USA), but who remains attached to Haiti and especially to the emergency services of the Justinian Hospital.

She underlined her many voluntary interventions through her Foundation, in the Communal section of "Bande du Nord", underlining "Dr. Laborde never hesitated to put on his blouse to land in Haiti in order to accomplish his mission as a doctor and bring his solidarity with the weak."
