iciHaiti - Tourism : Agreement with Natcom, for the production of video aimed at changing the negative perception of Haiti
Wednesday, June 8, 2022, Luz Kurta Cassandra François the Minister of Tourism and Le Van Dai, Director General of the telephone company Natcom signed a Memorandum of Understanding, for the implementation of an awareness campaign and change of perception on Haitian tourism through thematic promotional videos which will deal with our material and immaterial heritage.

The general objective is to record beautiful images of the country and show the world the hidden or little-known side of Haiti, that of our cities with high tourist and cultural potential that the world has yet to discover.

"This project, which will be implemented, produced and published by the two institutions, aims to replace the negative images of Haiti conveyed on the Internet, by others that are more positive and clearly more representative of who we are, what we do, and the various facets of our culture," according to Minister François.

This protocol was signed on the sidelines of Natcom's first official donation of 96 sugar cane mills which will be distributed to several restaurateurs, women entrepreneurs and sugar cane planters. The benefits of cane are as many as they are great, and being able to extract the juice easily for the benefit of the general public is a way of both supporting national agriculture but also promoting our intangible heritage, underlined the Minister Francois.
