On Thursday, February 24, 2022, a memorandum of understanding relating to the granting of subsidies and aid was signed between the MAEC-AECID (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation - MAEC and the Agency Institute for International Cooperation and Development - AECID) and the State University of Haiti (UEH)

Through this memorandum, the MAEC-AECID and the UEH agree to support Spanish studies within the State University of Haiti and to contribute to the development and academic and institutional consolidation.

This should enable the UEH to benefit from AECID subsidies and aid for the recruitment of a Spanish teacher from Spain who will offer his services within two UEH entities : the Normale Supérieure (ENS) and the Faculty of Applied Linguistics (FLA). More than 350 students will be able to benefit from the teachings of this professor, which will revolve around linguistic aspects, socio-cultural aspects and dialectological aspects.
