Project in residence : "Port-au-Prince and its sweet night" takes the journey of a city through a night and the time of a couple in love who a few years ago were able to walk at night, to love each other in a broken city, but who the evening, still left room for the dream of a better tomorrow. The piece subtly deals with the impossibility of living in the country, speaks of the unsustainable security situation at the moment through words of love. How to love each other in a collapsing city ? How to love his city and consider his imminent departure so as not to die ? The situation in Port-au-Prince has separated families, colleagues, couples. The rest of the country suffers from this sucker capital which unfortunately is the heart of economic life. The wave of migration that accelerated after the earthquake of January 12, 2010 and today is proof that Haitians are experiencing a disaster. This piece is a declaration of love to this city, this country. IH/ iciHaiti
