In his remarks for the occasion, Ariel Henry declared "[...] I proceed this morning to the installation of Ms. Dithny Joan Raton, Special Labor Mediator of the Clothing Industry, with the rank of Minister. The industry sector is a potential engine for the development of our country and the only sector, apart from public administration, which aligns thousands of jobs, generating nearly a billion dollars of exports in our trade balance. The development of the industrial sector is one of my Government's top priorities. To guarantee the viability of this sector, which is so vital to the economy, it is important to put in place, beforehand, a whole series of infrastructures that are essential for welcoming investors. Remember mediator, industry workers, must be very important to us. Without them, there would be no production. That's why I'm asking you to stay in the middle. Make good decisions in accordance with the law. This way you will have nothing to regret. Whatever grievances you receive from your brothers and sisters at Sonapi, Parc Caracol, Parc Codevi or Parc Digneron, your responsibility will be to decide without bias." IH/ iciHaiti
