In crisis situations, women and girls are more vulnerable to gender-based and sexual violence. This is the case for women in the Nippes department, following the earthquake of August 14, 2021.

It is for this reason that "KAY FANM" participated in the establishment in the municipality of Miragoâne (Deronceay) of a safe space for abused women and girls. Women are listened to, their words heard and their support and rehabilitation needs met.

This space includes an arbor for group meetings, but also a large conference room and several other spaces.

Our thanks to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) which made this concrete action possible, as well as to the "Solèy Leve" Center, where the space is located.
