iciHaiti - Health : Review of the National Ambulance Center (December 2021) 09/01/2022 10:48:20 Of the 1,064 cases handled by the CAN in November 2021 (+ 33.16% compared to the previous month https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-35436-icihaiti-health-review-of-the-national-ambulance-center-november-2021.html ), 31% were transfers, 25% obstetric emergencies and 10% miscellaneous ailments. This report reveals that the CAN intervened in: 65 cases of respiratory distress (not associated with Covid-19); 31 cases of chronic diseases (various pathologies); 269 obstetric emergencies; 325 transfers (referrals and laboratory examinations); 101 various ailments (malaise, diarrhea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc.). In addition, the CAN intervened in 79 road accidents, 17 gunshot wounds, 17 stab wounds, 88 traumas (injuries and fractures of various degrees), 35 burn cases, as well as 15 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 22 suspected cases. Of the 1,064 cases handled by CAN: 617 interventions took place in the West, 148 in Artibonite, 55 in the South, 49 in the North-West, 41 in the South-East, 95 in the North / North-East, 18 in Grand'Anse, 41 in Nippes and 0 in the Center.
