This costume by designer Kennedy Jhon Gasper pays homage to the Tainos, the original inhabitants of Hispaniola Island. An authentic and courageous people who laid the first stones of the "Pearl of the Antilles" such Haiti was characterized in their time during the discovery of their wealth by the conquistadors.

Blue and red represent the colors of the Alma Mater flag: Haiti.

The white ball represents the BATÛ, a key cultural element in the life of the tainos. The game of ball « BATÛ » mostly, was used to resolve conflicts within the community.

The pearl necklaces, the jewels, the golden rhinestones are the symbolism and the very expression of the prosperity of the tainos and the wealth of the island of Haiti known as the mountainous pearl.

The crown represents this legacy bequeathed to the Haitian people to remind us that we are a royal people who have marked the history of the world and who can continue to do so.
