Friday, December 3, as part of the International Day of People with Disabilities commemorated around the theme "Leadership and partidpation of people with disabilities towards an inclusiue, accessible and sustainable post-Covid-19 world" the Secretary of State for the integration of people with disabilities Desire Soinette, declared : "[...] Let us give ourselves the means and create the conditions so that the issue of disability is a social issue taken into account in the development and application of public policies.
And in accordance with the recommendations made by the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, we will have to allow them, in view of international rights in particular the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, to apply to the global situation of persons with disabilities" adding "we just need to make formal rights real through ensuring the respect and application of the rights of people with disabilities."
