iciHaiti - Politic : Young disabled athletes 04/12/2021 09:00:05
Friday, December 3, 2021, as part of the International Day of the Disabled, Raymonde Rival, the new Minister of Youth and Sports, applauded the efforts undertaken by the National Paralympic Committee of Haiti, the Haitian Amputated Football Association, the Special Olympics and the Saint Vincent Center in order to supervise young people with reduced mobility and contribute to their integration into society.
She underlined that [...] The work carried out under difficult conditions by these sports bodies and youth associations deserves the recognition of society. Because it allowed young people with disabilities to assert their ability and regain their dignity, thus facilitating their real integration."
She also congratulated the amputee athletes who have validly represented Haiti in international competitions in recent years and considered it essential to continue working with all the bodies involved in disabled sports in order to create the conditions for the rational practice of various disciplines for young people with reduced mobility across the country.
