Message from Ambassador Jesse Jean : "My dear compatriots, The battle of Vertières, the culmination of the incessant and courageous struggles that our ancestors waged in order to put an end to the violence of slavery and to announce to the whole world the need for freedom wherever it is hampered "in irons", is a historic place that must challenge today in more than one way.
