iciHaiti - Exhibition : «Nature protects us, let's protect it»

What is biodiversity ? Why is this a wealth for Haiti ? How to protect it in our country ? These questions and their answers are the subject of the exhibition organized by the Société Audubon Haiti / Haiti National Trust, in collaboration with Quisqueya University with the support of the Delegation of the European Union, through its Human Rights program, Dwa Moun.

Inaugurated on September 30, this discovery trail on our biodiversity is installed in the arboretum of the Quisqueya University campus for the entire month of October. This exhibition in Creole and French is accessible to all free of charge.

From September 30 to October 30, 2021, this educational exhibition accessible to visitors of all ages, will allow visitors to discover what Haitian biodiversity is, the wealth it represents and the dangers to which it is exposed. Consisting of 15 educational panels, in French and Creole, the exhibition "Discovering and protecting Haiti's biodiversity" resembles a nature walk. An identical version of the exhibition presented on the university campus is installed in the public square of Port-de-Paix, as part of a program to educate schoolchildren about the environment.

"Our environment cannot be preserved without the effective mobilization of each and every one of us, hence the urgent need to realize its importance in order to work for its conservation and continue to enjoy the benefits that we can derive from it. Knowing better to better protect, that is the ambition of this exhibition" reminds Philippe Bayard, Founding President of the Société Audubon Haiti / Haiti National Trust.
