The National Ambulance Center (CAN) has provided us with its statistical report relating to the pre-hospital care of the various emergency cases carried out during the month of August 2021.

Of the 1,036 cases handled by the CAN in August 2021 (+ 3.39% compared to the previous month https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-34431-icihaiti-health-review-of-the-national-ambulance-center-july-2021.html), 32% were transfers, 29% trauma cases and 22% obstetric emergencies...

This report reveals that the CAN intervened in:

38 cases of respiratory distress;
20 cases of chronic disease;
231 obstetric emergencies;
331 transfers (references and laboratory examinations);
15 various ailments (Malaise, diarrhea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc.).

In addition, the CAN intervened in 58 road accidents, 8 gunshot wounds, 10 stab wounds, 297 traumas (injuries and fractures of various degrees) (not related to the earthquake of August 14, 2021) and 3 cases of burns. , as well as 17 confirmed Covid-19 cases and 8 suspected cases.
