iciHaiti - Earthquake : Mexico sends two ships loaded with 1,729 tons of humanitarian aid 29/08/2021 10:16:32
The Mexican navy ships "Papaloapan" and "Libertador" set sail on Friday August 27, 2021 from the port of Veracruz (Mexico) for Haiti with 1,729 tons of humanitarian aid.
The "Papaloapan" is loaded with food, basic necessities, and medicines.
The "Libertador" carries medical brigades and a mobile hospital which will be of great help to the Haitian population, given that the heavy damage caused by the earthquake to the country's health infrastructure.
The Secretary of the Navy reported that the two ships are moving with a third unit responsible for ensuring their safety.
