iciHaiti - Warning : Scammers seek to profit from the earthquake
The Directorate General of Civil Protection (DPC) draws to the attention of humanitarian and philanthropic institutions, public and private companies, as well as individuals to the possibility that scammers seek to fraudulently take advantage of the great outpouring of solidarity shown to victims of the earthquake of August 14, 2021.

The DPC, as the public institution responsible for coordinating the response to the earthquake that affected the great south of Haiti, operates according to clearly established protocols and procedures. There is nowhere planned and there will never be any question for this general directorate, or its director and even less one of its technical executives, to request help from anyone.

The calls for solidarity, launched so far, correspond to the needs identified by the Government and the structures involved in the management of the response. These calls are launched in administrative forms and according to known principles.

The DGPC reserves the right to initiate criminal proceedings against any person or entity which arrogates the right to collect funds or property on its behalf or on behalf of any of its executives.
