"The Council expresses its sympathies to the family, relatives and lawyers affected by this new attack on a member of the Bar Association of Port-au-Prince. In this painful circumstance, the Council reminds the police authorities, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, and Justice of the imperative need to finally take appropriate measures to combat insecurity." For its part, the Office for the Protection of the Citizen (OPC), condemns the assassination of Me Roberson Louis, stressing "[...] the bandits continue, with impunity, their dirty work which deeply mourns Haitian families because of the inability of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) to protect lives and property but also and above all, in the face of a dying, inoperative, insensitive and indifferent judicial system in the pursuit of alleged criminals.
