On Friday, June 18, 2021, more than a hundred bottles of alcoholic beverages of different brands and hundreds of contraband packets of cigarettes from Haiti were seized from traders in Dajabón, following denunciations.

These goods were found during a vast police operation in which the soldiers of the Specialized Corps in Land Border Security (CESFRONT), inspectors from the Ministry of Public Health and the General Directorate of Customs participated in the presence of the prosecutor of Dajabón, Joselito Cuevas Rivera.

The contraband goods have been handed over to the Public Prosecutor's Office and the traders involved, accused of including sales of contraband goods, will be summoned for the corresponding legal purposes.
