The Haitian National Police informs that agents of the Public Security of Croix-des-Bouquets carried out an operation Thursday, April 8 in the Bellanton area in order to free a hostage kidnapped by his captors.

During this operation Christopher Nelson (26 years old) kidnapped on April 5 was released and one of the kidnappers identified as Abner Abelard, was shot and wounded but managed to escape while his concubine Mrs. Moncarmelle Balan was arrested and taken into custody for legal proceedings.

3 homemade weapons, a dummy weapon, 1 knife, and 2 cell phones were seized on the spot.

The fugitive and his accomplices are actively sought by the Police.
