iciHaiti - DR : 2 people charged with sexual exploitation of Haitian minors

At the Puerto Plata Prosecutor's Office in the Dominican Republic, the Public Prosecutor's Office indicted Akanubo Okon Mkpong and his sister Henry Eunide also known as Julissa and Élida, for sexual exploitation to the detriment of Haitian minors, aged 13, 14 and 16. years.
A note explains that Okon Mkpong persuaded girls and teenage girls to come to the Dominican Republic from Haiti, promising them to find work. Once arrived, they were taken to Henry Eunide who ran a brothel in the municipality of Sosua, where they were held under duress and offered as prostitutes mainly to strangers.
