Pradel Henriquez, the Ministry of Culture is pleased to announce that at the end of the registration process https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-32905-icihaiti-rep-dom-caribbean-lyrical-festival-registration-open-for-young-talents.html , 12 Haitian singers have applied to participate in the 1st Edition of the “Caribbean Lyric Festival 2021”.

This edition was launched on January 29 by Ms. Carmen Heredia de Guerrero the Minister of Culture of the Dominican Republic, with the collaboration of her counterparts from the Caribbean, including the Haitian Minister of Culture Pradel Henriquez.

This Festival, which aims to stimulate the talent of young singers and lyrical singers from the Caribbean, is an initiative of the European Union with the collaboration of certain private actors, in particular the SINFONIA Foundation.

A jury composed of experts in the lyrical field will judge the interpretations of the candidates. 6 candidates will be chosen on March 15, 2021. Remember that each candidate has submitted a video in which there are 3 interpretations in the Opera category.

The 6 selected candidates will participate in a concert to be held on May 9, 2021. Minister Henriquez wishes good success to these young Haitian talents.
