iciHaiti - Politic : OPC reaction to the accusations and threat of Schiller Louidor
Renan Hedouville Protector of the Citizen of the Office for the Protection of the Citizen (OPC), Independent National Institution for the promotion and protection of human rights, "hastens to denounce with indignation, the statements of Sieur Schiller Louidor, made on Saturday 13 February 2021, on a radio station of the capital claiming that the OPC had received from Mrs. Helen Meagher La Lime, the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations, a sum of 12 million dollars to campaign in favor of the new Constitution [...]"

The OPC underlines that Schiller Louidor, one of the spokespersons of the radical opposition of the so-called "democratic and popular" sector, characterized by hatred, intolerance and ignorance in his untimely statements, asks that one "attacks the OPC, particularly the Protector of the Citizen, Me Renan Hédouville."

"The OPC considers these false, senseless and malicious statements as a direct threat against the staff of the OPC in general and Renan Hedouville in particular and wishes to clarify that it will not allow itself to be intimidated in the accomplishment of its mission.

The OPC will hold Schiller Louidor responsible for anything that may happen to its staff and the Citizen's Protector and informs that the State authorities concerned will be notified of this decision for all legal purposes."
