iciHaiti - Insecurity : Burned vehicle and threats against ULCC employees
Me Hans Jacques Ludwig Joseph, Director General of the Unit for the Fight against Corruption (ULCC) in a press note dated January 29, vehemently condemns the fire of a Nissan Othing vehicle, registration SE-01363 belonging to at the institution, by a group of unidentified people on January 28 at avenue N.

He also deplores the serious threats and offensive remarks made against the employees who were in the vehicle when this heinous act was committed. The ULCC takes the opportunity to extend his sympathies while hoping that they will recover quickly from the trauma.

While recognizing the constitutional right of everyone to demonstrate, the Directorate General protests against the practice of destroying public and collective goods, in particular vehicles registered as "State Service" and of terrorizing peaceful citizens who have chosen to put their skills at the service of the country.

While inviting the Government Commissioner to put public action in motion against the perpetrators, co-perpetrators and accomplices of these acts, the ULCC renews its commitment to pursue, with courage, its mission of fighting corruption and its manifestations under all forms.
