iciHaiti - Health : The Minister of Health fears a 2nd wave of Covid-19 in Haiti if...
While in public transport and in the streets practically almost no one in Haiti wears a mask or respects physical distancing measures, Marie Gréta Roy Clément, the Minister of Public Health recalls in a press release that "[...] the circulation of the coronavirus is still very active among us [...] Protecting yourself and those around you is a civic responsibility [...] this pandemic invites us to be extremely vigilant [...]" urges everyone to scrupulously respect barrier gestures in order to to avoid a second wave which according to the Minister "[...] could create more victims and further weaken our health system."

Minister Clément reminds the population of the urgency of the strict application in public spaces of the following barrier measures :

1) Systematic hand washing with the installation of water points in public places;

2) Respect of the physical distance, at least 1.50m, between each person in places of great affluence such as banks, restaurants, night clubs, supermarkets, shops and also in public administration;

3) Systematic wearing of the mask compulsory not only in these spaces but also in the streets, taxis, motorcycle taxis, open public places (markets, etc...)
