Jean-Claude Legagneur, Director General of the Haitian National Pantheon Museum (MUPANAH) has learned with sadness the news of the death of the eminent artist painter Marie Josée Nadal, which occurred on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at the age of 89.

Recalling "Marie Josée Nadal has dedicated her life to artistic creation. She was 13, the youngest in her class, when she began to take her first painting lessons at the Center d'Art, with great masters such as Georges Ramponeau and Lucien Price.

Marie Josée Nadal's work evokes "planetary space where we brush against other planets rolling among the suns..."

MUPANAH visitors had the privilege of appreciating the creations of this talented and remarkable artist through temporary exhibitions including 'Haitian Art Seen By Our Women', 'Women Painters of the Head of Water' and 'Meet'.

[...] In this painful circumstance, the Haitian National Pantheon Museum, asks her family, especially her daughter Michèle Gardère Frisch, former Director of the museum, to accept the expression of its sincere sympathies."
