iciHaiti - Gonaïves : Inauguration of several solar-powered water pumping systems 13/12/2020 09:03:29
On Saturday 12 December, President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied among others by Patrix Sévère the Minister of Agriculture proceeded to their inauguration affirming that the 25 other systems will be operational by the end of December 2020. In particular, he inaugurated a solar pumping system for the benefit of farmers in the Ti Dolan area 1st section Pont Tamarin (Plaine des Gonaïves); a solar-powered AIZ4 SME in Basen Desous; pump 11 in the Plaine des Gonaïves and also the refurbishment of a pump in the locality of Tarasse, essential for watering the land and out of order for more than 4 years... "Today more than ever, water is of capital importance in the development of our agriculture [...] From now on, the peasants of the area can use their agricultural resources much more efficiently [...] I will continue to support the agricultural sector by developing its natural resources," declared Moïse in various speeches.
