iciHaiti - HIV/AIDS : 130,000 people diagnosed since 2004 in Haiti (Video)
With its partners, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID-Haiti) helps provide Haitians with quality, client-centered HIV prevention and treatment services, wherever they are, to improve access, retention, results and ultimately achieve viral load suppression.

Since the creation in 2004, with the support of the Global Fund, the American Aid Plan against AIDS, "President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief" (PEPFAR Haiti) has diagnosed nearly 130,000 People Living with HIV in Haiti (PLWHIV).

Currently, PEPFAR Haiti provides antiretroviral (ARV) treatment to 117,000 PLHIV. USAID's Supply Chain Management Project continues to ensure an uninterrupted supply of ARV drugs and essential health commodities to over 260 supported sites across Haiti and has implemented a multi-month strategy to enable to provide 3-6 months of medication for all patients.

To further increase access to services and strengthen referrals between communities and health facilities, USAID directly supported more than 1,300 community health workers and supervisors in Haiti's ten departments who help HIV patients. to continue taking their ARV medications.
