iciHaiti - Reminder : Too many hooded police officers
In a memo, Rameau Normil, the Director General ai of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) notes that : "[...] certain members of the territorial police units regularly wear the balaclava (hood) in the performance of their routine activities.

This note serves as a reminder to everyone that any exemption from wearing a uniform is strictly prohibited, except in cases duly authorized.

Also, an injunction is issued to all jurisdictional commanders to take their responsibilities in hand and to constantly ensure the conformity of the uniform of their staff.

Any breach will be punished with rigor in accordance with the General Disciplinary Regulations (article 21 of the RDG).

The Chief Inspector General will strictly monitor the application of this note and the Central and Departmental Directors will take all the relevant arrangements. "
