Saturday evening in Détour, a locality of the commune of Miragoâne (Dept. Nippes) a young man Colson Mérisier (19) has been shot in the head, under the eyes of several residents, by Réginald Cupido a security guard of Senator Denis Cadeau (BOUCLIER)

According to testimonies reported by Me Jean Ernest Muscadin, Commissioner of the Government of Miragoâne, Réginald Cupido had an eventful altercation with another person, it seems that Colson Mérisier intervened to try to separate the two men who came to blows. Furious at this intervention, Reginald Cupido would have drawn his weapon and coldly killed the young man with a bullet in the head before fleeing.

Denounced by public outcry, the Nippes Police managed to arrest on murder charges the security guard a few hours later in possession of the murder weapon.
