The Head of Cooperation of the French Embassy in Haiti was on the tarmac at Toussaint Louverture International Airport (Port-au-Prince) this week to receive a humanitarian cargo transported by a military aircraft of the French Forces of the Antilles.

This shipment consisted of 20,000 masks sent by the prefecture of Martinique to the Multisectoral Pandemic Management Commission Covid-19, as well as a donation of equipment to fight against the coronavirus Covid-19 sent by the United Kingdom, via the Caricom, to the prison administration of Haiti.

"This humanitarian operation, as well as the funding of 1.2 million Euros from the French Development Agency (AFD) for the benefit of the Gheskio centers, testify the France's commitment alongside Haiti to fight the pandemic" points out a note from the Embassy.
