iciHaiti - Army : Death of the former FAd’H Major General, Jean Claude Duperval 23/05/2020 09:39:47 Recall that Jean Claude Duperval, of the "Jean-Claude Duvalier" promotion (1971-1974), commanded the FAd’H at the departure of General Raoul Cédras for 38 days (October 10, 1994 - November 17, 1994). Jean Claude Duperval had been in March 1989, the first chief of a new unit of fight against drugs, before becoming thirteen months later chief of the police force of Port-au-Prince. "Known as a moderate soldier, he was like other high ranking officers of the army at the time, sentenced to life in the trial relating to the Raboteau massacre before the judgment of the Court of Cassation, November 10, 2000 which quashed the judgment of the court of Gonaïves which had pronounced the sentence for incompetence and ordered the release of all persons detained in connection with this case. "To his family members, his comrades of promotion and the Military Family in general, we offer our deep condolences. The arrangements for the funeral of the General Officer will be communicated to you as soon as they are made. May God welcome General Duperval into his home." IH/ iciHaiti
