The Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti (FOLONHA), encourages the Haitian population to wear masks everywhere and at all times as a means of preventing Covid-19, masks which will be mandatory from May 11 next https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-30679-haiti-notice-mask-wearing-mandatory-in-public-places.html
FOLONHA recalls that a properly fitted mask protects against coronavirus, recalling that "even if they are not perfect protection, wearing the mask is however better than nothing."
The Foundation recommends that people avoid panic "Do not let fear and emotion direct the response to this virus and do not allow fear of what we do not know about the virus, overwhelm what we know."
FOLONHA stresses that the fight against Covid-19 has only just begun and reminds everyone of their obligation to scrupulously respect the barrier prevention measures and the hygiene rules against the coronavirus, namely : hand washing, social distancing and displacement only in case of urgent needs. Compliance with these measures should at least prevent the spread of Covid-19.
