iciHaiti - Covid-19 : Update on the distribution of masks 24/04/2020 12:07:27
The Minister Delegate François indicated that 500,000 masks were being distributed across the country explaining that the Civil Protection proceeded to distribute 150,000 masks in the public markets of the metropolitan area. With regard to the various municipalities in the country, 90,000 masks were sent to the departmental delegations. In addition, 50,000 staff in hospitals received masks and 55,000 others were assigned to members of the Haitian National Police (PNH), finally, the State Secretariat for Persons with Disabilities, the Ministry of the Interior, the Public Security office and the Ministry of Public Works have received a total of 30,000 masks for the benefit of their staff. François, while recalling that a decree has been published to make it mandatory to wear a mask in all public places, states that "This will help save the lives of our brothers and sisters".
