iciHaiti - Digicel : Emergency crisis management cell
Since Saturday March 14, Digicel has activated its emergency crisis management cell to guarantee the continuity of its activities and the implementation of rapid interventions. In this context, a series of measures have been adopted to guarantee the protection of its customers and employees.

Maarten Boute, President and CEO of Digicel Haiti, explains "In these difficult times, communication remains a key priority. As an operator, we have a very important role to play in ensuring that our customers stay connected with their loved ones, that businesses can continue to operate. In addition, we are taking strong preventive measures for our employees."

Despite certain preventive measures adopted to deal with the Covid-19, including the remote working of certain members of its staff, Digicel is able to confirm that its customers will continue to enjoy the benefits of its services : the points of sale are still operational according to their regular schedules, customer service will remain available and can be contacted by phone, email or on digital platforms and also through the website.

Measures adopted :

  • Provide continuous and transparent communications to staff members regarding continuity plans and new preventive measures;
  • Restrict the business trips of Digicel employees abroad;
  • Cooperate with local authorities in the dissemination of public service announcements to local communities;
  • Increase the frequency of cleaning in Digicel offices;
  • Launch a large campaign focusing on hygiene measures;
  • Facilitate the teleworking of Digicel employees in order to advocate social distancing.
