The Secretary of State Gérald Oriol Jr. received on March 6, officials of the "Fondasyon Kole Zepòl" (FONKOZE) responsible for the execution of the Program for the Promotion and Social Protection of the Southeast (PROMES).

Launched and implemented under the governance of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and funded by the Embassy of Switzerland in Haiti, PROMES should eventually reach 30,000 households, including 3,000 in the Southeast.

The main objective of the project is to reduce poverty and social inequality in the country. This first intervention consists of implementing a model focused on financial inclusion and the empowerment of families. It is in line with the mechanisms proposed by the new National Policy for Social Protection and Promotion, an instrument for framing and guidance in the field of social protection and promotion in Haiti.
