Ms. Karine Pleau, Commercial Delegate of the Canadian Embassy in Haiti, visited the Vetiver essential oil extraction plant of the Agri-Supply Company, better known as FRAGER located in Les Cayes, in the heart of the main vetiver producing region, which extends from Port-Salut to Aquin and was very impressed.
Frager, which produces more than 60% of Haiti's production of vetiver essential oil, employs 27,000 families of vetiver growers and has become the essential link for the perfume industry and the leading producer and exporter of vetiver essential oil in the world.
For Pierre Léger Chairman and CEO of Agri-Supply, it is a great pride to be in the 1st world exporter of vetiver, the essential oil of which is used in the most renowned perfumes such as Chanel or "The 7 Virtues" (Canada).
In addition, Pierre Léger's company is actively involved in socially responsible business, having recently installed a solar energy system at Les Cayes Hospital, giving it access to 24 hours a day of electricity.
